safe and hazard-free installation. Personnel must understand and
apply the safety guidelines provided in this document. In addition, the
safety notices on the equipment labels should be strictly followed.
Before you start any of these procedures, read the entire section for

Installation Overview — SH12 and SH4R
Shelves
When you install an SH12 or SH4R shelf, be sure that you follow the installation
procedures in the proper sequence. The following table is an installation procedure
checklist, showing the procedures in the order in which they should occur.
Before installing the equipment, be aware of important rack and
accessory installation requirements. See Supported Rack
Requirements and Accessory Installation Requirements for more
information.
Before proceeding with the installation and cabling, be aware of
standard safety practices and the hazards involved in working with
electrical circuitry to prevent accidents.
