Installing the PSM-DC in the SH12
Installing the PSM-DC in the SH12
This procedure assumes that:
l The shelf is properly grounded to the rack;
l No voltage is present (if using DCpower); and
l The shelf and module have been properly inspected.
1. Verify that you are properly grounded with an anti-static wrist strap or heel strap
connected to the grounded ESDjack.
2. Hold the PSM-DC upright with the faceplate toward you.
3. Insert the PSM into the appropriate slot.
4. Gently apply pressure to the faceplate while pushing the module into the slot.
5. Push on the faceplate to fully seat the module. The module is completely inserted
when its faceplate is flush with the faceplates of the adjacent modules and the shelf
panels.
6. When the PSM-DC is inserted completely, hand tighten the retaining screw to
prevent inadvertent dislodging.
7. Use a Torx T10 screwdriver to gently tighten the retaining screw as needed. Do not
overtighten.
8. Repeat this procedure for each PSM-DC that you want installed in the SH12.
