Installing the Mounting Brackets on a 4U
Shelf
In this procedure, 4U shelf refers to the FD-128D. For procedures for the
SH4R, see Installing the Mounting Brackets on the SH12 and SH4R
Shelves .
This procedure assumes that:
l The shelf has been unpacked and inspected;
l It is damage-free; and
l The shelf is on a static-dissipative mat.
1. Verify that you are properly grounded with an anti-static wrist strap or heel strap
connected to the grounded ESDjack.
2. Place the appropriate 19-inch, 23-inch, or ETSI mounting bracket on one side of the
shelf in the correct position.
The following figures show the correct position of each bracket type.

3. Use the Torx T10 screwdriver and the four screws to attach the appropriate mounting
bracket to one side of the shelf.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the opposite side.
