Overview
The CEM-2 incorporates fan control, LED signaling and alarm LED control, integrated
utility feature, and ports for managing passive shelves.
The CEM-2 acts as the controller for the FTM-2, increasing and decreasing the fan speed
according to a set of input parameters from several different sensors. The main sensor is
the temperature sensor on the CEM-2 and additional sensors on each card and module
are considered.
It is installed under the fan modules in the SH12.

The External I/O interface and USBports are supported in a future
release. The timing ports (BITS1, BITS2), ToD/PPS port, 10MHz clock
connector, and PPS connector are supported in a future release, in
conjunction with timing modules.
