l Locate the emergency power-off switch for the room in which you are working so that if
an electrical accident occurs, you can quickly turn off the power.
l Do not work alone if potentially hazardous conditions exist anywhere in your
workspace.
l Electrical damage can or will result from powering this equipment with any power
source other than the type indicated on the shelf product IDlabel.
l Never assume that power is disconnected from a power source. Always check the
circuit before starting to work.
l Do not tamper with the electrical equipment or alter existing electrical wiring.
l Keep power input connectors free from dust to avoid risk of fire.
l Do not overload circuits.
l The FSP 3000 C equipment must always be grounded in accordance with local and
national electrical codes.
l Each shelf and the rack must be properly grounded before power is applied by turning
on the respective circuit breaker.
l Do not use household extension cords with your shelves. Not all power cords have the
same current ratings. Household extension cords do not have overload protection and
are not meant for use with the FSP 3000 C system.
l Carefully look for possible hazards in your work area, such as moist floors,
ungrounded power extension cords, and missing safety grounds.
l Operate the FSP 3000 C equipment within marked electrical ratings and product usage
instructions.
l For the FSP 3000 C and peripheral equipment to function safely and correctly, use the
cables and connectors specified for the attached peripheral equipment, and make
certain they are in good condition.
l Opening or removing covers may expose you to risk of electrical shock. Components
inside a shelf should be serviced only by a trained service technician.
CAUTION
There are particular points in this electrical equipment where higher
voltages are to be expected. Higher operating temperatures can also
occur for some parts.
It is particularly important to pay attention to these conditions and follow
the safety instructions to avoid personal injury or damage to property.
This system complies with the safety standard IEC/EN 60950-1. All
equipment connected to this system must comply with appropriate safety
standards.
CAUTION
Power cables must not block access to modules and shelf components
or drape where people could trip on them.
