Figure 8-78: Dfining IP-to-IP Routing Rules
The configured rules are summarized below:
îš„ Index #1: First choice route for IP Group 1 (i.e., LAN and PSTN users) when calling
each other or any user on WAN. The call is sent to IP Group 2 (i.e., WAN IP-PBX)
through the device's SBC interface.
îš„ Index #2: Alternative route for calls from IP Group 1 (LAN and PSTN users) in case of
WAN/IP-PBX failure. This rule uses the devices internal registration database to reach
the destination user.
îš„ Index #3: Second alternative route for calls from IP Group 1 (LAN and PSTN users) in
case of WAN/IP-PBX failure and no user is registered in the database. This rule routes
the call to the device's Gateway interface (i.e. 10.8.6.86:5070).
îš„ Index #4: For calls coming from IP Group 2 (i.e., WAN IP-PBX) to PSTN users. This
rule directs all calls with destination phone number starting with "01" to the device's
Gateway interface (i.e. 10.8.6.86:5070).
îš„ Index #5: All other calls from IP Group 2 are routed to IP Group 1.
