7.27.28 router pim sparse-mode
This command enables Protocol-Independent Multicast - Sparse Mode (PIM-
SM) globally for the router and enters router configuration mode. Use the no
form to disable PIM-SM multicast routing.
Syntax
[no] router pim sparse-mode

Command Usage
This command enables PIM-SM globally for the router. PIM-SM also needs
to be enabled for each interface that will support multicast routing using the
ip pim sparse-mode command (section 7.27.39 on page 1154), and any
changes necessary to the multicast protocol parameters made.
