General Configuration Guidelines for QinQ
1. Configure the ECN330-switch to QinQ mode (system mode, section 7.5.7
on page 552).
2. Create a SPVLAN (vlan, section 7.17.3 on page 850).
3. Configure the QinQ tunnel port to dot1Q tunnel port mode (switchport
mode dot1q-tunnel, section 7.17.26 on page 884).
4. Set the Tag Protocol Identifier (TPID) value of the tunnel port. This step is
required if the attached client is using a nonstandard 2-byte ethertype to
identify 802.1Q tagged frames. The standard ethertype value is 0x8100.
(See switchport dot1q-ethertype, section 7.17.28 on page 885.)
5. Configure the QinQ tunnel port to join the SPVLAN as an untagged member
(switchport allowed vlan, section 7.17.10 on page 861).
6. Configure the SPVLAN ID as the native VID on the QinQ tunnel port
(switchport native vlan, section 7.17.9 on page 860).
7. Configure system MTU to 1526 if jumbo frames are not enabled (Related
Commands, section on page 555).
8. Configure the QinQ uplink port to join the SPVLAN as a tagged member
(switchport allowed vlan, section 7.17.10 on page 861).
