6A-60 ENGINE REPAIR
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF AIR
CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR
Removal
1) Remove in the appropriated way gas from the air conditioning
circuit.
2) Disconnect battery.
3) Remove driving belt of water pump and generator (see
6A-26).
4) Disconnect compressor inlet and outlet pipes (1).
5) Remove compressor driving belt (5) (see 6A-27).
6) Remove screws (2) and (4) and withdraw air conditioning
compressor (3).
Installation
1) Reverse removal procedures, apply the specified tightening
torques and those specified in the complementary tasks.
2) Tighten moderately linkages of gas compressor inlet and
outlet pipes.
3) For installation of compressor belt as well as for applying
the tightening torques to the screws fixing compressor and
support (see 6A-27).
4) Refill with gas the air conditioning circuit with the specified
amount.
