3) Block flywheel using tool (B) ref. 790976.
4) Remove screw fixing the crankshaft pulley (23) and remove
pulley.

5) Loose screws of gears (24) and (31). Fit appropriate key
(27) between the rod end (26) and cylinder (25) to cancel
pressure of later over the tensioning roller (28); remove nut
(29), withdraw lower cover (32) and remove the timing belt
(30).
NOTE:
The screws of gear (31) should be only loosened if a
repair of auxiliary organs group gear box of is wished.

1) Remvoe cramshaft position sensor (77) and its support
(common rail engine)(common rail engine)

2) Remove timing upper cover (21) and the plungers cover (22).
