Wire Belt Splicing Steps
Introduction After installing the conveyor wire belt or Checkmate™ wire belt, connect the ends
together to form a continuous loop using the following procedure. Also use this
procedure to splice a link into the wire belt to replace a bent or damaged link.
Safety To ensure personal safety and avoid equipment damage observe the following:
Entanglement Hazard
All moving parts of the Aquastorm system, including pulleys, sprockets, chains,
and the conveyor represent potential hazards. Use caution and avoid having
hands or fingers caught in any moving mechanism. Long hair, jewelry, and other
parts of loose attire could be caught in moving mechanisms and cause injury.
ATTENTION
To pull the wire belt through the system, reach inside the window port of each
stage and pull the wire belt through each section.
Procedure Use the following steps and photographs to install splicing links:
1. Install the wire belt splicing link in a U shape. Ensure the loop ends of the
splice links are in the same direction as the wire belt loops.
