Blower Upgrades
Introduction Dryer motor upgrades increase air flow and pressure to ensure maximum drying
efficiency prior to PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assemblies exiting the system.
When Electrosonic™ airknives are added to dryer modules, the dryer blowers
require an upgrade from standard 7.5 hp motors to 10 hp or 15 hp motors. In
general 15 hp blowers work best with large, heavy PCB assemblies. Smaller PCB
assemblies can become airborne, or lodged in the conveyor system when higher
horsepower motors are used. These upgrades are avaliable for all Aquastorm™
systems.
Photograph Figure 2–22 shows a 7.5 HP standard blower motor on the left and a 15 HP
upgrade blower motor on the right.
