Preventive Maintenance
Overview
Introduction A strong preventive maintenance program is the best method to cut costs,
increase system reliability, and enhance productivity. The time used for cleaning,
inspecting, and servicing ensures consistent production quality and increases the
extended service life of the machine.
Safety To ensure personal safety and avoid equipment damage observe the following:
CAUTION
Qualified maintenance staff should perform the following cleaning steps. If any
damage to the plumbing, resistivity monitor, or reisitivity probe is detected,
contact Electrovert Customer Service.
CAUTION
If a resistivity monitor or probe fails to operate properly or is damaged, ensure a
qualified maintenance engineer performs the check out procedure.
ATTENTION
Water may be present in the plumbing lines. Be sure to have shop towels
available to wipe up possible spills.
Materials required Use the following tools:
Channel lock pliers (to remove probe)
Shop towels
Maintenance Schedule Refer to the following maintenance schedule to ensure proper machine and option
operation.
Quarterly Maintenance — Every 480 hours of Operation
Cleaning Procedure Reference
Check resistivity probe for lime deposits and
descale if necessary
