Functional Description
Introduction The Compressed Air Technology (CAT) option package mounts in all standard or
add-on dryer modules. The CAT option is compatible with systems where the
optional CheckMate™ hold down conveyor is installed.
The CAT provides additional adjustable drying capabilities for product with deep
cavities. The flexible tubing air nozzles mount on a pre-drilled manifold above the
conveyor rails and below the optional CheckMate™ conveyor belt in any dryer
module. Depending on the location of the deep cavity on the product, the flexible
tubing air nozzles can be placed in any of the six (6) pre-drilled locations on the
manifold and flexed to concentrate air directly at the cavity.
Standard shop compressed air at up to 241 kPa (35 psi) blows through the
manifold and provides concentrated drying capabilities in the direction the flexible
tubing nozzle is pointed.
Photographs Figure 15–1 shows the CAT mounting bar, identifies its connection locations,
shows a close up view of one (1) of the two (2) adjustable nozzles and displays
nozzle flexibility.
