Introduction As required, the SCAT airknife adjusts vertically by sliding the airknife unit up or
down the mounting bracket graduated scale. The direction the airknife blows is
also adjustable.
Tools Required Use the following tools to adjust SCAT airknives:
• 8 mm hex head wrench
• Phillips screwdriver
Photograph Figure 15–10 shows a close up view of the vertical mounting bracket and the
graduated scale.

Procedure Use the following steps to adjust the SCAT airknife vertically:
1. Shut down Aquastorm™ system operation.
2. Ensure system power is Off.
3. Open Dryer #1 or optional Dryer #3 window and remove the internal glass.
Set it aside in a safe place.
4. Use the 8 mm hex head wrench to loosen the M5 flathead bolt holding the
vertical mounting bracket in place.
5. Loosen the plumbing line quick release clamp to allow for the adjustment.
6. Slowly slide the airknife assembly up or down the vertical mounting bracket
until the desired height is reached.
7. Use the 8 mm hex head wrench to tighten the M5 flathead bolt and hold the
vertical mounting bracket in place.
8. Tighten the plumbing line quick release clamp loosened in Step 5.
9. If necessary, adjust the airknife angle using the procedure on page 286.
10.If necessary, adjust the rear SCAT airknife using the procedure on page 287.
