Functional Description
Introduction The blower fail detect provides an electronic monitor of blower operation. When a
blower motor fails, a blower belt does not work properly or is damaged, or
airknives become clogged the blower fail detect activates and initiates a hardware
alarm that stops machine operation. Blower fail detect is available for all dryer
blowers in all Aquastorm™ systems. Only Aquastorm 200™ systems can be
configured to activate the optional chemical isolation unit and blower. A blower
fail detect unit can also be installed on the chemical isolation blower motor.
Photographs Figure 16–7 shows the left section of an Aquastorm 200™ high voltage electrical
panel and identifies the blower fail detect units for the chemical isolation, dryer
#1, and dryer #2 blowers.
