Remove Single/Upper Nozzle

Photograph Figure 11–11 shows the direction to turn the 10 x 32 cap screw to loosen it in
preparation to remove the outer cover from the Hurricane Jet™ manifold
assembly.

Procedure Refer to the following steps to remove an upper Hurricane Jet™ nozzle:
1. Remove the 10-32 stainless steel socket head cap screw and M5 flat washer
from the top of the support bracket.
2. Remove the two (2) M5 x 30 stainless steel flat head screws, M5 lock wash-
ers, M5 flat washers and M5 x 0.8 hex nuts from the bottom of the support
bracket where it is secured to the conveyor rail.
3. Place the removed bracket and hardware in a safe place for reinstallation.
4. Use a 5/32 allen wrench to turn the 10 x 32 cap screw in a counterclockwise
direction and remove it.
5. Carefully slide the Hurricane Jet™ outer nozzle off the manifold tube and out
through the front window. Remove the white, Teflon® gasket.
6. To clean the nozzle and orifice, refer to Nozzle Orifice Cleaning on page 222.
