Reinstall Lower Nozzle

Procedure Refer to Figure 11–19 on page 219 as necessary and perform the following steps
to reinstall a lower Hurricane Jet™ nozzle:
1. Gently slide the Hurricane Jet™ nozzle onto the Hurricane Jet™ manifold
assembly.
2. Use a 5/32 allen wrench to turn the 10 x 32 cap screw in a clockwise direc-
tion and replace it.
3. Place a generous amount of clear silicone sealant on the manifold mounting
plate where it attaches to the rear machine bulkhead.
4. At the front of the machine, insert the Hurricane Jet™ nozzle assembly
through the wash or rinse window.
5. Gently swing the nozzle back into place above the groove in the lower con-
veyor return rail.
6. At the rear of the machine, use an 8mm socket and replace the flat and lock
washers and M5 nuts. Tighten the nuts to hold the nozzle assembly in place.
7. Refer to Figure 11–18 on page 219 as required. Replace the white, Teflon®
gasket. Replace the small quick clamp connecting the nozzle and bulkhead
and screw it into place.
8. At the front of the machine, remove any excess sealant from around the
mounting bracket at the rear bulkhead of the machine.
9. Replace the splash shield, latch it into place, and close the window.
