Procedure Use the following steps to program the compressed air On timer:
1. Ensure Aquastorm™ system is turned On.
2. Check the Main Screen to verify conveyor speed.
3. Inside the CAT control panel, locate the orange compressed air On timer.
4. Ensure Min displays in the Min/Sec ID window. If necessary, use a small flat
head screwdriver to flip the Min/Sec Switch to display Min in the ID window.
5. Calculate the time it takes the PCB to move from the entrance end bulkhead
photocell to the leading edge that requires a blast of compressed air and set
the timer On dial to that number.
Procedure Use the following steps to program the compressed air Off timer:
1. Inside the CAT control panel, locate the grey compressed air Off timer.
2. Ensure the increment setting on the Off timer points to 1-10 to indicate is in
minutes. Use a small flat head screwdriver to move the increment pointer.
3. Calculate the time it takes the PCB to move from the leading edge requiring a
blast of compressed air to the trailing edge where the compressed air stops.
4. Add the time calculated in Step 3. to the number of minutes programmed into
the compressed air On timer and set the compressed air Off timer.
Example Set the timer On dial to 4.5 to indicate the PCB takes 4.5 minutes to travel from
the entrance end bulkhead photocell to the leading edge requiring compressed air.
Set the compressed air Off timer to 5 to indicate the PCB to travel from the
leading edge requiring compressed air to the trailing edge. Add 0.5 to 4.5 = 5.
ATTENTION
If necessary, set the timer On time slightly lower than the calculation to ensure
the air is at full blast when the leading edge reaches the CAT nozzle and set the
compressed air Off timer slightly higher than the calculation to ensure the full
area requiring compressed air is covered before the compressed air blast stops.
