12.8.3 Safe Position Monitor with Delay (SPM-D)
The Safe Position Monitor with Delay (SPM-D) function operates according to the Safe
Stop 2 (SS2) function defined in IEC 61800-5-2. The deceleration operation of the motor
is monitored (deceleration monitoring) until the time set in a parameter elapses in
response to the safety request input status. Position monitoring is then performed to see
if the motor travel distance is within the allowable range.
Refer to the following manual for the application procedures for the SPM-
D function.
