Replacing the SH4R Air Filter Pads
Use only ADVA Optical Networking original air filter pads for
replacement.
9. Place a new replacement air filter pad in front of each air duct.
10. Gently slide the case closed.
11. Use a Torx T10 screwdriver to screw the retaining thumb screw.
12. Insert the air filter back into the SH4R.
13. Gently apply pressure to the faceplate while pushing the air filter into the slot.
14. Push on the faceplate to fully seat the air filter. It is completely inserted when its
faceplate is flush with the back plate of the SH4R.
15. When the air filter is inserted completely, hand tighten the retaining screw to prevent
inadvertent dislodging.
16. Use a Torx T10 screwdriver to gently tighten the retaining screw as needed. Do not
overtighten.
17. Reinstall the front cover as described in Removing and Installing Front Covers.
18. Dispose of the dirty air filter pads properly.
