Layer 2 Queue Settings

The priority levels recommended in the IEEE 802.1p standard for various network
applications are shown in Table 13. However, priority levels can be mapped to the
switch’s output queues in any way that benefits application traffic for the network.
Command Usage
â—† Egress packets are placed into the hardware queues according to the mapping
defined by this command.
â—† The default internal PHB to output queue mapping is shown below.
â—† The specified mapping applies to all interfaces.
Parameters
These parameters are displayed:
◆ Port – Specifies a port.
◆ PHB – Per-hop behavior, or the priority used for this router hop. (Range: 0-7,
where 7 is the highest priority)
◆ Queue – Output queue buffer. (Range: 0-7, where 7 is the highest CoS priority
queue)
Web Interface
To map internal PHB to hardware queues:
1. Click Traffic, Priority, PHB to Queue.
2. Select Configure from the Action list.
