| Unicast Routing
Configuring the Routing Information Protocol

Parameters
These parameters are displayed:
◆ By Address – Adds a network to the RIP routing process.

Subnet Address – IP address of a network directly connected to this router.
(Default: No networks are specified)

Prefix Length – A decimal value indicating how many contiguous bits
(from the left) of the address comprise the network portion of the address.
This mask identifies the network address bits used for the associated
routing entries.
◆ By VLAN – Adds a Layer 3 VLAN to the RIP routing process. The VLAN must be
configured with an IP address. (Range: 1-4094)
Web Interface
To add a network interface to RIP:
1. Click Routing Protocol, RIP, Network.
2. Select Add from the Action list.
3. Add an interface that will participate in RIP.
4. Click Apply.

To show the network interfaces using RIP:
1. Click Routing Protocol, RIP, Network.
2. Select Show from the Action list.
3. Click IP Address or VLAN.
