3) Apply an air jet on millings (4) at plungers with an air gun (5)
till lifting the regulating plate (3) to be replaced and take it
away using tweezers.
4) Measure thickness of regulating plate thus extracted.
NOTE:
Regulating plates bear in one the sides their thickness
engraved; if you can not read it measure it with a
micrometer.
5) Knowing the thickness of extracted regulating plate (3) and
the valves play measured under "Checking" select a new
regulating plate to adjust the valves play to the specified
value.
Valves play admission and exhaust: 0,5 ± 0,05 mm
NOTE:
The plates for adjustment of valves play are supplied
by the Spare Pieces Department the following
thickness: 3,25 - 3,30 - 3,35 - 3,40 - 3,45 - 3,50 - 3,55 -
3,60 - 3,65 - 3,70 - 3,72 - 3,75 - 3,77 - 3,80 - 3,82 - 3,85 -
3,87 - 3,90 - 3,92 - 3,95 - 3,97 - 4,00 - 4,05 - 4,10 - 4,15 -
4,20 - 4,25 - 4,30 - 4,35 - 4,40 - 4,45 mm.
6) Install selected adjusting plates putting their thickness
engraved face looking towards the plungers.

7) Check again valves play using a thickness caliper (B).
