7D-14 TRANSFER BOX
Installation
1) Install ball bearing which supports the rear bearing and fix
with clip.
2) Fix a new seal at the bottom, leaving the closing lip towards
the outside.
3) Fix oil collector bush.
4) Fix worm (10) and bush (11) into the lower output bearing.
5) Install bearing in the speedometer casing.
6) Install, in the interior speedometer bush (3) an oil seal (6);
and on the external an "O" ring (5); applying grease to
both.
7) Grease the gear shaft (4), attach to bush and fix the
assembly in its speedometer casing housing (15).
8) Apply recommended sealant to the attachment face
between the speedometer casing and the transfer box.
9) Fix the speedometer casing (8) to the transfer box, tightening
the screws to the specified torque.
Torque for speedometer casing screws:
4 ÷ 5 Kgm (40 ÷ 50 Nm)
10) Fix the rest of the components in reverse order to the removal,
noting the torque specified in the complementary tasks.
Torque for shoe-holder retaining plate screws:
2 ÷ 2,5 Kg-m (20 ÷ 25 Nm)
