Remove Lower Nozzle

Procedure Refer to the following steps to remove a lower Hurricane Jet™ nozzle:
1. Refer to Figure 11–14 on page 216 as required. Unscrew and disconnect the
small quick clamp connecting the nozzle and bulkhead. Remove the white,
Teflon® gasket.
2. Place the removed quick clamp and gasket in a safe place for reinstallation.
3. Using an 8mm socket remove the M5 nuts and flat and lock washers holding
the nozzle assembly in place.
4. Place the removed hardware in a safe place for reinstallation.
5. Move to the front of the machine.
6. Open the wash or rinse module front window.
7. Unlatch the splash shield latches, remove the splash shield, and carefully set
it aside.
8. Refer to Figure 11–15 on page 216 as required. Gently lift the lower Hurri-
cane Jet™ manifold assembly out of the groove in the lower conveyor return
rail and gently pull the whole assembly.
9. As necessary, gently swing the assembly to the right or left and up, until
there is adequate space between the end of the nozzle and the front machine
bulkhead to remove the nozzle.
10.Carefully slide the Hurricane Jet™ assembly out through the front window.
Remove the white, Teflon® gasket.
11. Use a 5/32 allen wrench to turn the 10 x 32 cap screw in a counterclockwise
direction and remove it.
12. Gently slide the Hurricane Jet™ nozzle off of the manifold assembly.
13. Remove the old sealant and clean the rear bulkhead wall and Hurricane Jet™
manifold.
