DRYER ADD-ON MODULES
Install Dryer Module

Procedure Refer to the following steps to prepare the single or dual add-on dryer for
installation:
1. Ensure the exit end sound enclosure and utility sink unit has been removed
and set aside in a safe place.
2. Use a forklift or rigging device to place the add-on dryer unit and stainless
steel frame near the Aquastorm™ system.
3. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the system front aluminum rail located
between the access windows and front access doors.
4. Remove the aluminum rail from the single or dual add-on dryer unit.
5. Using a forklift or rigging device raise the add-on dryer unit off the cold rolled
steel frame and set it aside.
6. Align the add-on dryer unit cold rolled steel frame with the Aquastorm™ cold
rolled steel frame and bolt together with the hardware provided.
Procedure Refer to the following steps and Figure 14–5 on page 262 to begin the single or
dual add-on dryer installation process.
1. Use a forklift or rigging device to replace the add-on dryer unit back onto the
cold rolled steel frame.
2. At the front of the machine and add-on dryer unit, align the front alignment
points together.
3. Use a vice clamp to clamp the system bulkhead to the add-on dryer unit
together. Ensure the front alignment points remain aligned.
4. Locate the pre-drilled holes in the add-on dryer unit and use a drill and 11/32
drill bit to drill matching holes into the system bulkhead.
5. Locate the 17 sets of M8 hardware.
6. Install one (1) M8 x 40 hex head bolts with one (1) M8 flat washer into the
hole closest to the front alignment point. Place one (1) M8 flat washer, one
(1) lock washer and one (1) nut on the other side and tighten securely.
7. At the rear of the machine and add-on dryer unit, align the top corner of both
units aligns so the top machine and add-on dryer bulkhead are level.
8. Install one (1) M8 x 40 hex head bolts with one (1) M8 flat washer into the
hole closest to the front alignment point. Place one (1) M8 flat washer, one
(1) lock washer and one (1) nut on the other side and tighten securely.
Procedure Refer to the following steps to complete installation:
1. Install the remaining 15 sets of hardware in the mounting holes in the same
manner as the first two (2) sets were installed.
2. Tighten all bolts securely.
3. Remove vice clamp(s).
4. Place the system and add-on dryer unit front aluminum rail into place between
the access windows and front access doors. If necessary for alignment, trim
the edges of the aluminum rail where the system and add-on dryer unit meet.
5. Use a Phillips screwdriver to reinstall the front aluminum rails located.
