BLOWER ENHANCEMENTS
Remove/Replace the Blower Belt

Procedure Refer to the previous figures and diagrams as necessary and use the following
steps to remove/re-install the blower belt:
1. Perform Access Blower Motor Belt on page 321 prior to replacing the blower
motor belt.
2. To relieve tension on the belt attach a socket to the bolt behind the spring
load single belt tensioner and push the tensioner away from the belt.
3. Loosen the belt from the blower pulley first.
4. Then remove the belt from the motor pulley and set aside with the socket
head cap screws and blower belt guard.
5. Remove the belt.
6. Take the new belt and loop the belt around the motor pulley first.
7. Attach a socket to the bolt behind the spring load single belt tensioner and
apply pressure to push the tensioner away.
8. Loop the belt around the blower pulley.
9. Slowly release the socket tension and allow the tensioner to slide back into
place.
