Introduction
Intelligent Document Capture (IDC) is Zebra advanced image processing firmware for select imager based
scanners. This chapter describes the IDC functionality, provides parameter barcodes to control IDC features, and
includes a quick start procedure.
The IDC Process
Intelligent Document Capture:
1. Verifies a barcode is appropriate to use as an IDC anchor or link. See Barcode Acceptance Test on page 339.
2. Determines the rectangular region to capture as an image. See Capture Region Determination on page 339.
3. Processes the captured image. See Image Post Processing on page 340.
4. Transmits the data. See Data Transmission on page 340.
