High Voltage
The voltage level may be changed to a value between 0 and 1070 Volts. Use the scroll bar
below the High Voltage indicator to adjust the value. Either click the right (+) and left (-)
arrows, or drag the scroll bar.
Note: The voltage from the single power supply is applied concurrently to both detectors in
a two-detector system.
The High Voltage can be turned on or off by selecting the appropriate radio button below the
high voltage slider.
Gain
The CAP-MCA installed with the system defines the System Gain range. The CAP-MCA has
two amplifiers: coarse (Gain1) and fine (Gain2) gain. The system chooses the optimal
combination of coarse and fine gains for the desired system gain. System gain is the
arithmetic product of coarse and fine gains.
To change the coarse (Gain1) and fine (Gain2) gain values, select the Set Gain button.
