2.3 Fitting
D Lifting gear 94202 must be placed according to paragraph 2.1.
⇒ Clean seating surfaces ’AF’ (Fig. ’C’) on cylinder liner and cylinder block.
⇒ Fasten holders 7 and 7a with screws 6 to cylinder liner as shown in Fig. ’B’.
⇒ Fit cylinder liner and fasten it to cylinder block using screws 5.
⇒ Fit connection pieces 9 and transition tubes 8 to water guide jacket 3 (Fig. ’B’
view II-II).
⇒ Fit all lubricating quills and connect their pipings.
Actuate the cylinder lubricating pump until oil emerges from all the lubricating
bores in the corresponding cylinder liner (see 2138−1 ’Function check’).
3. Removal and fitting of antipolishing ring
⇒ Four suspension straps 94208 are fitted for removing and fitting antipolishing
ring 4.
D The latter can be removed with the aid of lifting hook 94209 connected to the
suspension straps and the crane.
⇒ Before fitting, clean the seating surfaces on the antipolishing ring and cylinder
liner.
⇒ Smear the antipolishing ring lightly with oil.
