1. Dismantling
Attention! The engine must not be operated with the oil supply to the axial damper
interrupted!
When 2-part gasket 11 or 13 has to be removed from the axial damper, proceed as
follows:
⇒ Switch off the bearing oil pump.
⇒ Unscrew and remove piping 2 for axial damper monitoring 3 internally and ex-
ternally from casing upper part 1.
⇒ Remove casing upper part.
