5. Removal and fitting of cylinder liner without water guide jacket
5.1 Removal
D Water guide jacket must be removed (see paragraph 4.1).
5.1.1 Placing lifting gear
⇒ Place lifting gear 94202 in engine longitudinal direction onto cylinder liner 2.
⇒ Apply oil to the threads of screws 94202f.
⇒ Fasten fixing blocks 94202e to the lifting gear by means of screws 94202f
which have to be tightened with 200 Nm.
⇒ The cylinder liner can be lifted now.
5.2 Fitting
⇒ Place lifting gear 94202 according to paragraph 5.1.1.
⇒ Clean seating surfaces ’AF’ on cylinder liner 2 and cylinder block 1.
⇒ Fasten holders 7 and 7a with screws 6 to cylinder liner as shown in Fig. ’B’.
⇒ Fit cylinder liner and fasten it to cylinder block using screws 5.
