2. Loosening waisted studs of piston crown
⇒ Clean the threads of waisted studs 5 and th
e
area around nuts 13.
⇒ Place pre-tensioning jacks 94346 crosswis
e
on the waisted studs (a/a) and complete
ly
screw them on with opened vent screws 16
till
there is no or little clearance at ’x’ (Fig. ’B’)
.
⇒ The pre-tensioning jacks are to be loosene
d
by approx. ½ turn (gap ’SA’ in Fig. ’B’).
⇒ Connect pre-tensioning jacks to hydraul
ic
unit 94942.
⇒ Start up hydraulic unit.
⇒ Close vent screws 16 as soon as oil flows o
ut
bubble-free.
⇒ Operate the hydraulic unit till a pressure
of
about 1530 bar is reached.
⇒ Unscrew nuts 13 by one turn.
Pistons 14 of the pre-tensioning jacks must neve
r
exceed the red limiting grooves ’BN’ (Fig. ’B’).
⇒ Release pressure to zero.
⇒ Remove pre-tensioning jacks.
⇒ Always the same procedure is to be applie
d
crosswise according to the sequence (b/
b,
c/c and d/d) for loosening the remainin
g
waisted studs.
