2. Exhaust valve control unit
2.1 Removal
⇒ Remove the hydraulic piping from exhaust valve control unit (see 8460−1).
⇒ Remove return pipe 22 from screw-in angle on valve control block 4.
⇒ Disconnect electrical plugs from rail valve 20.
⇒ Loosen Allen screws 5.
⇒ Carefully lift the complete exhaust valve control unit using eye bolts RC.
Remark: Immediately cover the appearing opening in servo oil rail to prevent dirt
from entering in any circumstance!
2.2 Fitting
⇒ Clean seating surfaces AF and place new O-ring 24 into the groove of servo
oil rail 1.
⇒ Pay attention to dowel pin 23 while fitting the complete exhaust valve control
unit onto the servo oil rail.
⇒ Apply oil to Allen screws 5 and tighten them with a torque of 170 Nm.
⇒ Apply oil to drain screw 2 and tighten it with a torque of 200 Nm.
⇒ Install return pipe 22. For fitting the hydraulic piping to the exhaust valve con-
trol unit see (see 8460−1).
