Assigning Users With CLI Commands
For information about the CLI commands that perform this function, see the AAA Commands chapter
in the
CLI Reference Guide . The following table summarizes the equivalent CLI commands you use.
Line Passwords
Use the Line Password page to define line passwords for management methods.
To display the Line Password page, click System
→ Management Security → Line Password in the tree
view.

The Line Password page contains the following fields:
• Line Mode — Drop-down menu specifies device access through a Console, Telnet, or Secure Telnet
(SSH) session.
•
Line Password (8 – 64 characters) — The line password for accessing the device through a console,
Telnet, or Secure Telnet session. The password appears in the ***** format.
•
Confirm Password (8 – 64 characters) — Confirms the new line password. The password appears in
the ***** format.
