System LEDs
The system LEDs, located on the back panel, provide information about the power supplies, thermal
conditions, and diagnostics. The following table contains the System LED definitions.
SFP/SFP+ Port LEDs
The following table contains SFP/SFP+ port LED definitions for the PowerConnect 8024/8024F
switches.
Table 4-3. System LED Definitions
LED Color Definition
DIAG Flashing Green A diagnostics test is in progress.
Green The diagnostics test was successfully completed.
Red The diagnostics test failed.
PWR Green Power Supply is operating correctly.
Red Power Supply has failed.
FAN Green Fans are operating correctly.
Red One or more fans have failed.
Temp Amber System temperature has exceeded threshold limit.

LED Color Definition
LNK/ACT Solid Green The port is linked.
Flashing Green The port is sending and/or receiving network traffic.
Off The port is not linked.
