Figure 9-32. Router Discovery Configuration
The Router Discovery Configuration page contains the following fields:
VLAN Interface
Select the router interface for which data is to be configured.
Advertise Mode
— Select Enable or Disable from the drop-down menu. If you select Enable, Router
Advertisements are transmitted from the selected interface.
Advertise Address
— Enter the IP Address to be used to advertise the router.
Maximum Advertise Interval (secs)
— Enter the maximum time (in seconds) allowed between router
advertisements sent from the interface.
Minimum Advertise Interval (secs)
— Enter the minimum time (in seconds) allowed between router
advertisements sent from the interface.
Advertise Lifetime (secs)
— Enter the value (in seconds) to be used as the lifetime field in router
advertisements sent from the interface. This is the maximum length of time that the advertised
addresses are to be considered as valid router addresses by hosts.
Preference Level
— Specify the preference level of the router as a default router relative to other
routers on the same subnet. Higher numbered addresses are preferred. You must enter an integer.
Configuring Router Discovery
1.
Open the
Router Discovery Configuration
page.
2.
Select the router interface to be configured.
3.
Configure data as needed for the remaining fields.
4.
Click
Apply Changes
Specified configuration changes are saved, and the device is updated.
