4.1 Preface
The ten major items setting correspondence between the equipment and parts list prescribe the
removal and replacement procedures of main parts. The adjustment procedures are given in a
separate item.

NOTE
When handling a spare part with no procedural instructions, check the mounting
status well before removal.
NOTE
As a rule, options shall be removed. If there is no problem, however, they may be
left mounted.
4.1.1 Before Work
- Turn the power off and unplug the power cable.
- For work around the FUSER ASSY CL CH, wait until the FUSER ASSY CL CH and its ambient
temperatures go down well.
- Handle parts with great care. An excess force may damage a part and disable its function.
- Since many kinds of screws are used, be careful not to mix them up. A wrong screw may damage
a screw hole or cause any other problem.
- To eliminate static electricity, the worker should wear a wrist strap for grounding whenever
possible.
