10.1.2 Explanation of Print Process
[Charge]
This steps discharges BCR (Bias Charge Roll) in the Drum/toner cartridge to charge the drum surface
(external surface of the optical electric-conductor) with even minus power.
- BCR, that is a conductive roller, comes into contact with the drum, and receives the discharge
voltage from the HVPS.
The system discharges AC voltage between the BCR and drum at fine intervals.
The drum surface becomes the minus voltage by the minus AC voltage from the BCR.
The drum surface is made of an optical electric-conductor, and its inside is made of an electric
conductor (aluminum cylinder).
