Function
The OPCOM3500E-240G4L is a tributary service card on the iTN2100.
Provide 8 SFP interfaces, where 4 interfaces are PDH optical interfaces. Each optical
interface supports a maximum of eight E1 and one GE. This card maps a maximum of
32 E1 to the SDH network. The other 4 interfaces are GE interfaces which can connect
to optical interface SFP or electrical interface SFP. These four interfaces are responsible
for parsing GE from related PDH optical signals, making Ethernet services, received by
the remote, sent to the local switch one to one.
Provide eight SFP interfaces. Among them, four SFP interfaces are connected to remote
device, and the other 4 interfaces (optical interface or electrical interface) access remote
Ethernet service to local switch one to one.
Support 1+1 splitter inter-card E1 service protection. If LOS or LOF occurs on optical
interface or the card is lost, protection switching will be performed.
Support querying and displaying manufacturing information (serial number) of the card.
Support OAM of the SFP optical module. The local GE interface can be configured with
optical/electrical SFP. For electrical SFP, only 1000BASE-T SFP electrical interface is
supported.
The GE interface rate is fixed to 1000 Mbit/s. Support interface enabling and auto-
negotiation configuration.
Support timeslot mapping from E1 to SDH network.
Support managing downlink remote devices on the Line interface.
Support LPR alarms.
Support E1 local loopback, remote loopback and dual loopback functions and support
loopback auto-recovery function.
Support ALS.
Support fault-pass function, including faults passing from optical interface to electrical
interface (if LOS or LOF occurs on local or remote optical interface, Ethernet electrical
interface is shut down before both ingress and egress optical interfaces become normal )
and faults passing from electrical interface to electrical interface (if the remote Ethernet
electrical interface is in Link Down mode, the local Ethernet electrical interface is shut
down before remote device recovers to Link UP mode).
Support online upgrade for local and remote devices
Support saving and recovering service card configuration and support pre-configuring
service cards.
Work with remote RCMS2903-4E1-4GE, RCMS2912-4E1T1GE, and RCMS2912-
8E1T1GE etc.
Support hot swapping.
15.9.2 Slots
The OPCOM3500E-240G4L can be plugged into slots 15 and 812 on the iTN2100.
