iTN2100 (P100R002) Hardware Description

When connecting or removing the SC/PC optical connector, align the connector with the
optical interface, and do not rotate the fiber. Pay attention to the following points:
Align the head of the fiber jumper with the optical interface and insert the optical fiber
into the interface gently.
To remove the fiber, press the latch on the connector and pull the fiber out.
Figure 21-3 shows the FC/PC fiber connector used by the iTN2100.

When connecting or removing the FC/PC optical connector, pay attention to the following
points:
Align the head of the fiber jumper with the optical interface to avoid damaging the
ceramic inner tube, and insert the optical fiber into the interface gently to the bottom.
Then, rotate the screw set clockwise tightly.
To remove the fiber, rotate the screw set anticlockwise. When the screw set is loose, pull
the fiber out.
21.2 Ethernet cables
21.2.1 Introduction
The Ethernet cable is used to connect:
The Ethernet electrical interfaces on the iTN2100 and other devices.
The SNMP interface on the iTN2100 and the NMS network.
The Ethernet interface on the iTN2100 supports self-adaptive straight-through cables and
cross-connect cables.
Ethernet cables need to be made on site.
21.2.2 Appearance
Figure 21-4 shows the Ethernet cable.
