7.2 OPCOM3500E-4STM1-S
7.2.1 Appearance and functions
Appearance
Function
The OPCOM3500E-4STM1-S is a STM-1 tributary card on the iTN2100.
Provide four STM-1 interfaces (SFP optical interfaces), through which it can be
connected to at most four OPCOM31xx series devices.
Provide high-density interfaces, and thus is of high access ability.
The STM-1 optical interface can be set to independent mode or 1+1 line multiplexing
section protection mode. When set to the later, interfaces 1 and 2 protect each other, and
interfaces 3 and 4 protect each other.
Support low order path 1+1 protection.
When two OPCOM3500E-4STM1-S are installed, they support inter-card 1+1
protection.
Support the inband NMS and outband NMS. The inband NMS transmits NMS
information through VC12. The outband NMS transmit NMS information by occupying
DCC bytes.
The bandwidth of NMS channel can be set to192 Kbit/s, 576 Kbit/s, and 768 Kbit/s.
Support remote LPR detection connected to the similar STM-1-supportive devices of
Raisecom.
Support complete alarm and performance monitoring.
Support Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) of the SFP module.
Support ALS.
Support online software upgrade over local and remote devices.
Support hot swapping.
7.2.2 Slots
The OPCOM3500E-4STM1-S can be plugged into slots 15 and 812 on the iTN2100.
