22.2 Terms
The sender transmits services in both the primary channel and the
slave channel, and the receiver receives services from the primary
channel.
A LAN standard where the speed is set to 100 Mbit/s. In general, it
is called Fast Ethernet (FE) standard and uses Unshielded Twisted-
Pair (UTP) copper cables. FE uses an extended speed based on the
IEEE802.3 standard. It is 10 times faster than 10BaseT Ethernet. In
addition, it sustains the frame format, MAC addressing mechanism,
and MUT etc.

When the fiber is pulled out or output power of an optical
transmitter is over high, the optical interface automatically shut
down the laser to avoid maintenance and operation risks.
The auto negotiation procedure is: the port at one site adapts its bit
rate and duplex mode to the highest level that the opposite site
device support. That is, the connected devices on both site adapt
the fastest transmission mode both of them support after the auto
negotiation process.
An electronic module, composed by the chip and other electronic
components installed on a flat and hard Printed Circuit Board
(PCB). The PCB has conductive circuits for connecting these
components.
