Requirement
● You are in the Global configuration mode.
The command prompt is:
cli(config)#
Syntax
Call up the command with the following parameters:
ip dhcp server <ip address>
The parameter has the following meaning:
Parameter Description Range of values / note
ip address IPv4 address of the DHCP server enter a valid IP address
For information on names of addresses and interfaces, refer to the section "Addresses and
interface names (Page 36)".
Result
The IP address is specified.
Further notes
You remove the IP address with the no ip dhcp server command.
You enable the DHCP Relay Agent with the service dhcp-relay command.
You display the IP addresses with the show dhcp server command.
You display the settings with the show ip dhcp relay information command.
7.4.2.2 no ip dhcp server
Description
With this command, you delete the IP address of the DHCP server.
