Cleaning the knitting machine
5. Push dirt out of needle channels with groove cleaner (6).

6. Clean groove for pelerine spring of needle.
7. Blow out dirt with compressed air fr
om the needle bed.
8. Make sure needles, coupling part, intermediate slider and selector jacks
are
undamaged.
9. Clean needles, coupling part, intermediate slider and selection jacks
with
oil.
10. Pull out wire (2) to enable jack bed to be guide
d into holding-down jacks
more easily during assembly.
11. Reassembly needle bed.
12. Lubricate needles, coupling part, intermediate slider and selec
tor jack
s. If
a central lubrication is installed, then use the setting "Initial lubrication" for
approx. 15 minutes.

The needle hooks and the holding-down jacks can be cleaned
quickly and easily with the needle bed cleaning apparatus
(special attachment).
