7 Repairing the knitting machine
Replacing parts
Assembling belt 1. Position the first belt on the outer edge of the drive shaft (5). Observe the
profiled indentations of belt and drive shaft exactly.
2. Place the supporting body (6) against the drive shaft and install it through
the belt.
3. Position the another belt directly against the previous one.
4. Install the support body further.
The belts are positioned covering the entire length of the profiled
indentation.
5. Check the positioning of the belts.
6. Center the support body.
7. Position the deflection rod (7) between belt, drive shaft and support body.
8. Bring the deflection rod into its final position in the indentation of the
support body
For this purpose position both balls of the hands on the belts on the height
of the deflection rod and press towards the final position.
The deflection rod is positioned in the indentation of the support body.
9. Screw-on the end caps on both sides.
The larger radius points towards the needle bed.
The replacement of the belts is complete.
