Racking Type
Explanation
Needle bed racking
(Short
form:
Racking)
The needle bed is racked by a
whole-number multiple of a
needle distance to the left or right (example: 2 needles to the
right, VR2).
Half racking
During half racking the rear needle bed is racked by a half
needle
distance to the right.
Transfer racking
During transfer the rear needle bed is racked by the tran
sfer
value (3) until the needles of the front and rear needle beds
almost touch. The needle dips into the pelerine spring of the
needle opposite.
