Sectional Boom:
5. On Time to SC location -
should be the time
from when meter starts until product is at the
section valve.
6. Off Time to SC location -
should be the time
from when meter stops turning until product
stops flowing through the section valve.
Note
These times can be set to 1 sec for a tow-behind
configuration. This should be measured for a
leading configuration since it is a longer time and
may vary more significantly.
Full Width Boom:
7. On Time to Ground -
should be the time
from when the meter starts, until product is
flowing at the longest run.
8. Off Time to Ground -
should be the time
from when the meter stops turning, until
product stops flowing at the shortest run.
Important
Accurate times are critical for proper function of
the system. Measure carefully!
9. When measuring times, make sure that:
a. The fan speed set to the speed that will be
used during seeding;
b. You start timing when meter starts turning,
not when the prime button is pushed.
