X35 Monitor Air Seeder Setup

6.6.2.1 Confirming Timing Settings in Field
After first doing a stationary test to determine
appropriate section timings, this field test will
verify the following to ensure that the system
performs as intended:
1. The settings for the vehicle and implement
geometry are correct;
2. The implement tank timing and section timing
settings are correct;
3. The air kit hoses and hydraulic ASC valves are
all routed and connected properly;
4. The ASC coverage setting is at the appropriate
level to achieve the desired coverage/overlap.
6.6.2.1.1 Field Test Procedure
1. In the field, seed two passes parallel to each
other with no gap between them.
2. With the openers raised and the ASC on, seed
over the two passes at a 45
o
angle.
a. Perform at desired rates and speed, with
fan speed set appropriately to match
operating conditions.
3. Check the product on the ground from the
angled pass. This will verify that the seed and
fertilizer booms place product with the desired
amount of overlap when entering and exiting
the two seeded passes.
6.6.2.1.2 Troubleshooting the Test Procedure
1. If some of the sections are slightly off review
the section timings.
2. If all the sections are off it may be a geometry
issue, verify the vehicle and implement
geometry.
3. If an even number of sections are providing
erratic results with overlap and misses conduct
a stationary test to verify the flow of product
to the correct section valves one at a time.
